Susanna Tamaro
Susanna Tamaro, who is from Trieste and a distant relative of Italo Svevo, was destined to write one of the world’s most cherished Italian novels (“Follow Your Heart,” with sixteen million copies sold in 45 countries), made her debut with “Head in the Clouds” (Marsilio, 1989), and in 1994 wrote “Go Where Your Heart Takes You” (Baldini+Castoldi - "Geh, wohin dein Herz dich trägt," Diogenes, 1995), which is a literary phenomenon acclaimed in the list of “150 Great Books” that have marked the history of Italy. From there, she continued with a wide creative spectrum, ranging from novels to short stories, spirituality and children’s fiction, up to her latest work, “The Wind Blows Where It Wants” (Solferino, 2023). Over the years, her works have been published in several editions in Germany, including by Goldmann, Piper, Bertelsmann and btb.
