Marta Palazzesi
The list of books Palazzesi loves includes Bianca Pitzorno’s “Listen to My Heart,” the novel that made her choose to become a writer when she was a child, and James Clavell’s “Shōgun,” from which she adopted her meticulous historical research. Writing was dream she never lost sight of, even during her years as an architect, and it also led her to study abroad. She attained her dream with talent and tenacity, and unhindered by the publishing sector’s hurdles. Her turning point came with the novel “Fog” (Il Castoro, 2019), which won the Strega Boys and Girls Award. Currently, she has a number of books to her credit from various publishers, all inspired by her passion for history, the convergence of different cultures, and adventure.
